CHERRY GROVE
FIRE ISLAND

45 YEARS OF PHOTOGRAPHY

I have photographed in Cherry Grove for more than 45 years. This secluded beach town on Fire Island has been a safe haven for LGBTQI+ people for almost 100 years, a place where one’s sexual and/or gender identity can  be freely expressed without fear of judgment or betrayal. My Cherry Grove photographs convey the joy, the passion, the sexual innuendo, the conflict, the laughter and the love found every day in this remarkable gay community.
